Online Contest Scoreboards Available for ARRL Field Day

If your club wants to see how its Field Day efforts are faring in comparison with others in your category, check out the Contest Online ScoreBoard. It will be supporting ARRL Field Day. In addition, Bruce Horn, WA7BNM, has developed Score Distributor, which will relay your score to all scoreboards that support the event. Scoreboards can be very attractive to younger operators, in addition to enhancing the fun factor, and they can really motivate teams to keep on the air and active.

YCP Group Taking Part in IARU HF Contest

The Youth Contesting Program are looking for both participants and hosts for the IARU HF World Championship on 13-14th July 2019. The YCP group match wanna-be young contesters with contest stations (Small, medium or large, it doesn't matter), so that the young operators can learn and get experience in, contesting.

The target is to match the operators with stations that are within 3 hours drive of their homes.

W4DXCC DX and Contest Convention 2019

The W4DXCC DX and Contest Convention will take place 20 -21 September 2019, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

A radio shack will be set up with some of the latest offerings from the Amateur Radio industry for visitors to test drive. The Ham Radio Boot Camp will take place on opening day, Friday 20th September 2019. This day-long ham radio training session is for new and seasoned hams alike, with experienced radio amateurs guiding the less experience on various aspects of ham radio, including DXing and contesting.

The convention will wrap up on Saturday evening with a banquet and prize drawing.
