Essex Ham have made available training material related to the Syllabus v1.5 changes which take effect soon

The new v1.5 syllabus kicks in from September 1 this year.

The group have now released updated slides for Modules 4 (Feeders & Antennas) and Module 6 (Licence Conditions).

For the last few months, the online course has included a video on how to complete an EMF assessment - that is now made available to tutors.

Also available are some sample mock questions and a one-page PDF guide for newcomers covering EMF.

Distance Learning for Full Amateur Radio Licence Exam

Since 2011, the Bath Based Distance Learning team (BBDL) has helped over 900 students to obtain their Full Amateur Radio Licence, the next course starts in August - Book Now

Student feedback is always very positive and the pass rate continues to be well over 80%, compared with a national average of around 66%.

Having completed a second Intermediate Licence course in May, the team are now planning another Full Licence level course. The course will run from the end of August to December.

Students will receive weekly work packages via an on-line classroom and will have access to weekly on-line tutorials. Each student is allocated to one of the remote tutors who provide feedback and additional guidance. There are weekly quizzes to check on progress and at the end of the course there will be a number of mock exams.

Netherlands Amateur Radio Exam

Netherlands Amateur Radio Exam

The Netherlands has two types of amateur radio exams, CEPT Novice (equivalent to UK Intermediate), and the Full (CEPT HAREC).

The Novice exam comprises 40 questions each with 3 answers to choose from, of which 29 must be answered correctly. The exam lasts for 75 minutes. There is no need to do the Novice exam before doing the Full.

The Full exam comprises 50 questions each with 4 answers to choose from of which 35 must be correct. The exam lasts for 105 minutes.

On Saturday 21st May 2022, the radio exams were held in Leeuwarden. A day later we received the preliminary exam results from Henk Vrolijk PA0HPV.
