Colin Butler - M6BOY

Hi my name is Colin Butler and I am in my early forties, a family man living in Ireland with my lovely wife Sandra and my children, Conor and Holly.

My working career has mainly been spent in the service industry working in publishing, manufacturing and IT.

I became interested in Podcasting in 2008. My father Martin, (M1MRB / W9ICQ) agreed to participate in an amateur / ham radio Podcast, the ICQ Amateur / Ham Radio Podcast. My radio interest grew as we developed the ICQ Amateur / Ham Radio Podcast project, and I committed to undertake the UK amateur radio foundation license examination.

In early March 2009, I successfully completed and passed the UK amateur radio foundation license exam and was awarded the call sign M6BOY.

My other interests include sports (football, cricket, hurling, NFL and Formula One), technology and reading.
