EANET Sprint Contest 2019

On 3rd November 2019 from 08:00 to 12:00 UTC, the next edition of the 'sprint contest' version of the same name Award, devoted to the 'Radio Clubs of the World'.

In just four hours you can win original and funny prizes that you can share with your mate or friends: hotels, restaurants, wellness or adventures.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to contact those radio clubs you still needed to complete the EANET Award.

RaDAR Challenge - 2 November 2019

The third and last RaDAR Challenge for 2019 takes place from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on Saturday 2 November 2019, but you only need to operate for four hours.

The RaDAR Challenge is not a "contest" as such, it is an individual challenge. All amateur bands are allowed including cross band contacts via amateur radio satellites. Modes - CW, SSB, FM or any legal amateur radio digital mode.

As from 2019 the WARC bands will be included.

The exchange is your call sign, your name, RS(T) report and grid locator.

The grid locator of six characters is acceptable but should preferably be accurate to 8 or 10 characters for higher position accuracy.

You earn 1 point per QSO and then there are multipliers to be used.

Grid Square Award Relaunched

The WIA DX Awards Committee have announced the very popular GRID SQUARE Award is being re-launched.

Improvements to the award include endorsements, standings, and a new modern certificate which recognises the world-wide nature of this award.

The GRID SQUARE Award is available as recognition of the appropriate number of confirmed contacts with Amateur Radio stations in Grid Squares. Its purpose is to stimulate interest in the IARU grid-square system. The ARRL also runs an annual "International Grid Chase".
