RSGB Board Change - G0MGX

Mark Jones, G0MGX has decided to stand down from the Board of the RSGB.

Prior to joining the Board Mark spent many years volunteering as the AROS Coordinator and has since been a proactive and valued Board Director.

Mark published clear, measurable goals for the RSGB’s Strategy 2022 ‘Growth’ priority, which he oversaw since joining the Board.

The RSGB expressed their thanks to Mark for his work on this strategic priority as well as for his commitment to his Board liaison role in a number of other areas.

Three nominations have been received for the position of RAC Director for the Ontario South Region.

Following a review of the documentation submitted and taking into account the constitutional and election process requirements, the Election Committee determined that the nomination papers were complete and in order for the following individuals. Their bios are provided below.

National Club of the Year 2018 Winners Announced

At the National Hamfest on 28 September 2019, the winners of the RSGB National Club of the Year 2018 were announced.

Prize sponsor was Waters & Stanton

This year’s competition had only one category for entrants, and as well as being open to clubs of all sizes, we welcomed entries from all RSGB affiliated groups.

  • Winner: Hilderstone Radio Society (Region 10)

  • Runner up: Bushvalley Amateur Radio Club (Region 8)

  • Third place: Essex Ham (Region 12)
