CQ magazine today announced the induction of three new members to the CQ Contest Hall of Fame, which honours those contesters who not only excel in personal performance but who also "give back" to the hobby in outstanding ways. CQ Contesting Editor David Siddall, K3ZJ, conducted a virtual induction ceremony at the conclusion of the daylong 2020 Contest University webinar.

Dr Kamal Jit Singh steps down from RSGB Board

The RSGB has announced that Kamal Jit Singh, who was co-opted to the RSGB Board in June 2019 has stepped down.

Kamal had a great deal of international experience in advising governments and large corporations in the application of new and innovative technologies and he brought a wealth of business experience to our discussions. He took on joint responsibility for leading the RSGB Innovation Team and suggested interesting ideas for building growth and also widening the appeal of amateur radio.

WARO Enters Recess

During the recent WARO Executive meeting, April 2020, there was a motion passed that WARO goes into recess until they can meet at a full NZART AGM to discuss the future of WARO. This was seconded and agreed by the Executive Committee.

Therefore, WARO is now in recess until the AGM being held in Napier 2021, where a Special General Meeting will be held, NOT an AGM.

Executive Committee positions will remain the same until then, subs do not need to be paid this year. Finances will be maintained and held by the Treasurer, until the meeting in Napier.
