Broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) interviewed Sweden's oldest radio amateur Tage Karlsson SM7ALI

Tage is 101 years old, and lives with his cat Hubert near Hässleholm. He became a radio amateur at the end of WWII.

Giorgio Pagan (IW3IBG) -New Vice-President of EURAO

Giorgio Pagan, IW3IBG, has just been elected unan­i­mous­ly new Vice-president of EURAO by its Board of Directors, after the resignation of CT1BAT some months ago.

To tell the truth, Giorgio already participated in the first foun­da­tion­al conversations of EURAO, even before the effective constitution of the Promoters Committee.

Giorgio, who is a great technician, has an extensive experience in the field of amateur radio and associationism, having held various positions in his association: Centro Italiano di Sperimentazione ed Attività Radiantistiche (CISAR), and has many projects in mind.

Hull and District ARS Celebrates 100 Years

This year, the Hull and District Amateur Radio Society are celebrating a centenary of radio clubs in the city of Hull.

The first evidence of a radio club based in the city comes from a petition presented to the Postmaster-General by the Amateur Radio Telegraphists of Great Britain in December 1921. The documents was signed by representatives of 64 groups including the President and Honorary Secretary of the Radio Society of Hill and District.
