Antarctica Expedition

German Amateur Radio Operator Felix Riess DK5XL is currently actively operating from Antarctica using the callsign DP1POL.

Felix is operating from Neumayer III, a german research base located in grid reference IB59UH, IOTA AN-016, WWFF DLFF-022

Active until February 2017, Felix will be operational on the HF bands, mainly operating using CW and Digital Modes.

QSL’s will be handled by Ray, DL1ZBO who will respond to all bureau and direct requests,

3B8 - Mauritius 6m operation

During a short visit to Mauritius this month, Bernie ZS4TX will be active as 3B8TX from the northwest coast - locator LG89sx

Between the 16-19th September 2016, Bernie will be active on 6m from moonrise to moonset.

Bernie will be operating using a Icom IC-7100.

German Team Head to Isle of Man

A team of Amateur / Ham Radio Operators will be active from the Isle of Man (EU-116) between 23rd September 2016 to 4th October 2016

The team will be made up of Heiko DL1RTL, Gunter DL2AWG, Dietmar DL2HWA, Georg DL4SVA, Olaf DL7JOM, Rolf DL7VEE and Wolf DM2AUJ.

The team are planning operation on 80-10 metres, using CW, SSB and RTTY. The team will be using equipment including 2x K3, KPA 500, into Spider-beams and Verticals.
