Madagascar DX Seeks Operators

Alex, K2BB along with his friend Paul, UU0JR have annouced they will be active as 5R8R (TBD) from Nosy Be Island (IOTA AF-057), Madagascar, between 19-29th November 2018.

Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes.

They will participate in the CQWW DX CW Contest (24-25th November 2018) as a Multi-Single or possibly as Multi-2 entry (if they have enough ops...).

The station will comprises 2 radios, a Kenwood TS-590 and a Icom IC-7300, with the back-up rigs being a Elecraft KX3 and a Odyssey 2 SDR.

Antennas will include 2 verticals covering 160-80-40-30m, a Spiderbeam for 20 -10m and possibly a Beverage if space is available.

NH7A Big Island Hawaii

Albert Crespo, F5VHJ will be active from Big Island, IOTA OC - 019, Hawaii using CQ WW DX SSB Contest from 27 - 28 October 2018.

Albert will be using the callsign NH7A and will be operating in the SOAB HP Category during the contest.

Arctic Legends Tour 2018

During September 2018 RI0B will be active in the Arctic Legends Tour 2018 from the following IOTA groups:

• Firnley Islands (AS-054)
• Tyrtova Island (AS-121)
• Nansena Island (AS-104)
• Skott-Gansena Island (AS-068)
• Arkticheskogo Instituta Islands (AS-087)
• Sibiryakova Island (AS-005)

The team will consist of Igor/UA9KDF, Victor/RW0BG, Andy/UA0BA, Andy/UA9LDD, Mike/UA1QV, and Igor Kuznetsov (camera man)
