IC-R8600 SDR Communication Receiver Firmware Update

Icom Inc. has released a firmware update (Version 1.32) for the IC-R8600 SDR Communication Receiver. This firmware is for non-USA versions that have a serial number beginning with other than "02" and is designed to optimise performance. 

The firmware will be updated to the following versions.

Replacement Speaker for Yaesu FT-817

GatesAir Suspends Sale of AM Transmitters

Radio World has reported that GatesAir is to suspend AM transmitters.

GatesAir Chief Product Officer suggests the decision has been made based on supply concerns for critical components that may of lead to quality issues.

The decision will not impact warranty/service commitments.
