9 New Hams in Norway

Nine candidates have passed their amateur radio exam at Gløshaugen In March 2018

Norway only has a single grade of Amateur Radio license, equivalent to CEPT Class 1, that permits 1 kW power output.

The training course consisted of four two hour lectures (8 hours total) followed by a 28 question multiple choice exam.

The Akademisk Radioklubb's free course is offered in English or Norwegian, depending on attendees. The exam is only available in the Norwegian language. You may bring a dictionary into the exam if you are not proficient in written Norwegian.

E-licensing for Ham Radio in Indonesia

The Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of SDPPI in South Sulawesi (Balmon Class I Makassar) is preparing to hold its first Amateur Radio (UNAR) Exam based on the online licensing system of the Directorate General of SDPPI (e-Licensing), which is planned to be held on March 24-25, 2018.

Plt Nurhaedah Control Director, in his opening speech said that UNAR-based e-Licensing is a form of paradigm shift and shows the government's commitment to provide easy, fast and transparent services.

The implementation of UNAR e-Licensing aims to facilitate the stakeholders, especially the Directorate General of SDPPI as the regulator, the Amateur Radio Organization of Indonesia (ORARI), as well as the participants of UNAR itself.
