Germany's N-Class License Holders To Get "Dn9" Callsigns

The German regulator has announced that the callsign designation for the new, entry-level "N" class license that takes effect on the 21st of June will be DN9 - which adds a numeral to the previously announced "DN" prefix.

This is expected to have a capacity of more than 18,000 callsign assignments available. The first examinations the "N" class license will take place on the weekend of June 28th at "Ham Radio Friedrichshafen." The license conforms to CEPT specifications for an entry-level licence.

UK Exam bookings at New Prices

Early in February 2024, the RSGB announced that the fees for Foundation, Intermediate and Full level examinations would increase from 1 May 2024.

You can now use the online booking system to book an exam prior to 1 May 2024 at the current price, or select exam dates from 1 May 2024 at the new prices.

Please ensure you make the correct date selection, as booking errors that need to be changed may incur an administration fee as outlined in the exam terms and conditions.

Errata to the 2024 - 2028 Amateur Extra-Class Question Pool Released

The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (NCVEC) Question Pool Committee (QPC) has released errata for the new 2024 - 2028 Element 4 Extra Class Question Pool, which goes into effect on 1st July 2024. The errata includes minor question changes, the removal of one question, and one modified graphic. These updates are reflected in the new downloadable files, dated 31st January 2024.
