Royal Mint Special Event - GB4RME

Members of the Barry Amateur Radio Society will be active from 'Her Majesty's Royal Mint' at Llantrisant, South Wales, UK, operating as GB4RME (Royal Mint Experience) between 31st July and 5th August 2017.

It is thought that the operation is special as the team from Barry Amateur Radio Society will be the first to operate a special event station from within a Mint.

Activity will be on CW, SSB, DATA RTTY and JT65, plus Satellite operations.

Confirmed operators include Glyn (GW0ANA), Philip (MW0DHF), Kenneth (GW1FKY) and Richard (GW4BVJ)

QSL via GW0ANA, direct, by the Bureau, LoTW and ClubLog.

There will be a Web page set up for the operation on QRZ.com.

2017 13 Colonies Special Event

13 Colonies is an annual Special Event held during the 4th Of July Week (1-7th July 2017). Participants try to make contact(s) with all 13 Colony Stations, and the 2 Bonus Stations. You do not need to make contact will all 13 to be awarded the 2017 13 Colonies certificate.

Making contact with all 13 stations is known as a "Clean Sweep", and whilst working the 2 bonus stations provides kudos, you do not need the 2 bonus stations for a clean sweep.

WM3PEN - Philadelphia, PA, where independence was declared. The 13 Colonies certificate will have a Liberty Bell added for a contact with "WM3PEN"

GB13COL - Durham, England. Making a Contact with "GB13COL", the 13 Colonies certificate will have an endorsement of the "British Standard".

AM25FEDIEA for the 25th anniversary of FEDI-EA

Federación Digital EA (FEDI-EA) is celebrating twenty-five years since its founding (25th July 1992-2017)  with a special event callsign AM25FEDIEA that will be active on the from 1st to 31st July 2017, to be used in multi-club mode through its usual booking system.

In addition, the PTT also has authorised all Spanish licence holders (who wish) to use, on the same dates, their callsign as special in the following format.
