The Scout’s UK Headquarters station GB2GP, located at Gilwell Park, North London, will be active for this year’s JOTA with the very special callsign GB100GP to celebrate 100 year’s of Scouting at Gilwell Park.

Located in North London (JO01ap) the campsite consists of 110 acres of fields and woodlands and annually has over 30,000 youngsters from all over the world visit the site. This year Gilwell Park celebrates its centenary of ownership by the Scout Association, and in recognition, the permanent amateur radio station has the very special callsign of GB100GP

This year's International Air Ambulance Week will take place between 7th and 15th September 2019 with the focus on supporting and generating donations for flying medical services around the world.

The event covers two weekends, giving amateurs a great chance to get involved and support the event.

Whilst Amateur Radio Operators / Stations are encouraged to promote the donation causes, it is requested that any donations generated go to the station's chosen local or national cause.

Registration will be mandatory and all stations taking part will be issued a registration number which will be listed on this website.

The Citrus Belt Amateur Radio Club of San Bernardino, California (W6JBT), will host the 20th annual Route 66 On the Air Special Event, 7-15th September 2019.

The yearly event commemorates the 1926 construction of the famous Route 66, the country’s first major improved highway linking the US heartland with the west coast. Twenty stations will be on the air along the route, two of them as rover stations on the highway between Santa Monica, California, and Chicago, Illinois. All 20 stations will employ 1 × 1 call signs.
