Icom Renews Commitment to WRTC 2022

Icom has announced that they are renewing their sponsorship commitment to the World Radiosport Team Championship (WTRC) 2022 Italia, to be held in Bologna.

As a leading manufacturer of amateur radio equipment, Icom is proud to provide a financial commitment as the first Platinum Level Sponsor for this world-wide contesting event.

The WRTC is an on-site ham radio competition that is held every four years. It provides a platform for the world’s leading amateurs to compete and show their impressive contesting skills. This year the competition will take place in Bologna, Italy, in July 2022 and is by invitation only.

Turn the bands Green for St Patricks Day

Amateurs are invited to join in on the air and help turn the bands green for the St Patrick Day Award.

This annual award runs over 48hrs from 12noon, 16th March 2020 till 12noon on the 18th March 2020

Stations worldwide will be on air for the celebrations and we hope that you can sit back, relax and help turn those bands green for St Patrick's Day.

The Maine Bicentennial Special Event takes place 16-22 March 2020!

Formation of Maine Bicentennial Special Event

Briefly, the Maine Bicentennial Special Event committee, formed from members of the Wireless Society of Southern Maine, along with KB1ZUN and AB1YO from the PenBay ARC, have organized an amateur radio Special Event that recognizes the Original 9 Counties of the State of Maine. There will also be 3 other special stations for Jameson Tavern in Freeport, the Town of Portland, and Boston, in recognition of their contributions to Maine's Statehood.
