Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary

Royal Air Force Amateur Radio Society (RAFARS) members will operate GB80BOB, a special event call sign for the 80th anniversary of The Battle of Britain. It will be active between the 1st and 28th of September 2020.

Following OFCOM’s relaxation of the requirement for public access for SESs due to current social distancing rules, the station will be operated from various RAFARS members QTHs.

The operation will be on all bands, as conditions allow, SSB and CW. A special QSL card is available.

International Air Ambulance Week 2020

International Air Ambulance Week 2020

This year's International Air Ambulance Week will take place between 5th - 13th September 2020, with the focus on supporting and generating donations for flying medical services around the world.

The event covers two weekends, giving amateurs a great chance to get involved and support the event.

Whilst Amateur Radio Operators / Stations are encouraged to promote the donation causes, it is requested that any donations generated go to the stations chosen local or national cause.

110th Anniversary Australian special callsign

Members of the Wireless Institute of Australia are QRV with the special call VI110WIA until the end of 2020 to celebrate our 110th anniversary, in fact, the world's oldest Amateur Radio Society.

Activity is on the HF bands and QSL is via LoTW.
