The Amateur Radio Club OZ3EDR celebrates the 50th year of Hjalmar Roesen's/OZ3ZJ chairmanship with the callsign OZ50SOUND until the end of the year.

The callsign points out the club's connection to their local Sound-Community (Sound Art Lab, Sound Hub Daenemark, City of Sound).

Finnish Amateur Radio League Marks Centennial This Year

2021 is the centennial of the Finnish Amateur Radio League (SRAL). The special anniversary call sign OH100SRAL is being used throughout the year. Working at least 100 OH stations during 2021 qualifies the operator for an award.

The SRAL’s OH0W call sign will be on the air from the Aland Islands, January 29 – February 3 for the CQ World Wide 160-Meter Contest (CW) and a few days afterward. Operators will include Niko Halminen, OH2GEK; Martti Laine, OH2BH, and Pertti Simovaara, OH2PM.

The Last Man Standing Amateur Radio Club is joining with a team of seasoned special-event operators around the United States to present a multi-band, multi-mode special event celebrating the prime-time network TV show for its positive and accurate portrayal of amateur radio.

During its nine seasons, the Last Man Standing ARC operated as KA6LMS from real radios on the set during production breaks, making thousands of contacts with the show’s amateur radio fans.

The special-event team includes the Long Island, N.Y.-based Great South Bay Amateur Radio Club, the 12 Days of Christmas and the K2Heroes teams.
