FreeDV is a HF digital voice mode that has been designed to provide the best audio quality over the various conditions encountered on HF.
It is based on the open-source modems and codecs developed by David Rowe VK5DGR, and is under continuous development with modes and enhancements being added on a regular basis by amateurs worldwide and is available for Linux, MacOS and Windows operating systems.

The Chinese Radio Amateurs Club (CRAC) has announced that Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games special event station BY1CRA/WO22 is now active on FT8, SSB, and CW on 160 – 10 meters and will operate until the games close on 20th February 2022.
