13 Colonies Special Event Begins 1st July 2023

Each year the US celebrates its independence on 4th July and with that holiday comes the 13 Colonies special event. This year the event takes place between 1st July and 8th July 2023. 13 special callsigns will be active, one callsign for each original United States colony. In addition, 3 bonus stations will be active, operating from France, Great Britain, and Philadelphia.

Participants can submit a log sheet and a suggested donation of $5 to receive a special certificate. Working all stations is not required to receive a certificate.

2023 ARRL Field Day coming soon - 24-25th June 2023. It's the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada.

More than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill, and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills, all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933.

Museum Ships On-the-Air Weekend

If you like ships and are an amateur radio operator, 100 ships will be on the air from 3-4 June 2023 for the annual Museum Ships Weekend event.

Organizers stress that this is not a contest, but a fun event that begins at 0000Z on 3 June 2023, and runs through 2359Z on 4th June 2023.
