100 Years of Leicester Radio Society (G3LRS)

The Leicester Radio Society (G3LRS) are celebrating their Centenary year this year, and are trying to find out the exact date they were born.

Records are scarce to say the least and so they are hoping that some one that reads this could shed some light on the subject.

They know that it was formed 1912-1913 but can not find the exact date (Month) and (Year), they know it was featured in an old Model Engineer magazine of that period.

Please can any one assist?

They will be holding some special radio nights from LRS HQ later in the year, but it would be nice if we had the exact information to hand.
