British school pupils from Sandringham School, St. Albans, Hertfordshire have passed their amateur radio Foundation exam as part of preparations for the amateur radio contact with UK astronaut Tim Peake GB1SS planned for early January

The Verulam Amateur Radio Club (VARC) ran a Foundation Licence course in December 2015 for five candidates, three of which are pupils from Sandringham School.
