/The Amateur Station Licence Examination Report 2018 has been published by the IRTS Licence Examination Board
The report highlights some of the areas that candidates in recent exams had difficulties with. This examination report - and indeed previous examination reports - contain observations and advice that should be of assistance to anyone studying for the licence exam. The 2018 section starts at page 38.
In Eire to get a HAREC (CEPT Class 1) compatible amateur radio licence permitting up to 1 kW output you just need to take a single 60 question exam. This is significantly different from the situation in the UK where candidates have to pass three written exams with a total of 133 questions as well as complete 22 practical assessments.
