RAST has received special permission/license from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) for 6 meters operation in Thailand for 2014.

Thai Ham's gain special permission to access 6m Band

The last time 6m band access was available to stations in Thailand was 4 years ago. This year the NBTC gave special permission to all Hams / amateur radio operators in Thailand so they can operate on 6 meters.

Spanish 5 MHz experimental period extended

Following on from a successful authorisation of the 5MHz (60m band), Spanish authorities, URE - Union Radioaficionados Espanoles have announced that they are extending access to the 60m band until 30th November 2015.

Frequencies authorized are 5268, 5295, 5313, 5382, 5430 and 5439 kHz, with a power of 100 W PEP.

 

Andorra joins 5MHz allocations

Andorra has joined the number of countries permitted an experimental band allocation at 5 MHz (60m).

The Andorran national amateur radio society, URA - Unio de Radioaficionats Andorrans, announced that they had received official permission to operate between 5275 - 5450 kHz on a secondary basis for short and medium distance propagation studies.

Maximum power allowed is 100W PEP with a bandwidth not exceeding 3 kHz utilizing CW and USB. The permission is temporary until WRC-15.
