50 MHz Allowed in Lebanon

IARU Region 1 reports that radio amateurs in Lebanon have gained access to the 50 MHz (6m) band

The Ministry of Telecommunication of the Republic of Lebanon, and under the thankful efforts of the RAL (Radio Amateurs of Lebanon) President Hani Raad (OD5TE) and VP Elie Kadi (OD5KU), granted the radio amateurs licensed in Lebanon the permission to utilize the 6 meters band (50 MHz).

The frequencies allowed for transmission are between: 50.000 MHz and 51.975 MHz, and was confirmed in a signed letteron 19th April 2018 and communicated to the RAL and other related governmental entities.

Temporary German Allocation on 70MHz

A new ruling from BNetza for the German amateur radio service; Temporary admission will be granted to 70.150 - 70.180 MHz, from 2 May to 31 August 2018.

Conditions are as in previous years. No remote stations/repeaters. Secondary user, non-interference  basis, all modes (up to 12KHz wide) 25w ERP, horizontal polarisation, no portable operation, all contacts to be logged, with all QSO or transmission details including beam direction.

70.174MHz appears to have been adopted for FT-8 comms.
