New Technician License Question Pool Released

The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (NCVEC) has announced the release of the 2018-2022 Amateur Radio Element 2 Technician class license question pool into the public domain.

Each question pool must be published and made available to the public prior to its use as a question set, from which individual examinations are developed.

The new Technician license question pool contains 428 questions. It will become effective for all Technician class license examinations starting on 1st July 2018.

German Klasse K Licence Postponed

It appears that the potential new K class German entry licence has been postponed indefinitely.

“The discussion on the introduction of another license class has been postponed indefinitely, because it can not be ruled out that such an introduction could restrict the self-construction privilege of amateur radio operators.”

Sweden Releases Amateur Radio Training Guide

Sweden's National Amateur Radio Society SSA has released a preliminary version of their 599 page (PDF format) training book KonCEPT for the country's CEPT HAREC compatible amateur radio exam 

The update of SSA educational materials has taken over a year to achieve by a small group, whose main focus has been on updating the booklet KonCEPT for Amateur Radio Certificates to a new second edition.

The purpose has been to cover the requirements of CEPT HAREC, and to reflect changes in regulations, standards and recommendations in the 20 years since the first edition was published.

Material previously supplied in separate supplements has now been included in the book and several completely new chapters have been added.
