Austria Receives 60m and 630m Christmas Present

The Austrian regulator, BMVIT, has granted access to the 60m and 630m bands for all CEPT Class 1 licensees.

60m/5 MHz is the WRC-15 Amateur Secondary Allocation of 5351.5 – 5366.5 kHz at 15W EIRP (5.133B)

630m is the MF Secondary Allocation from the previous WRC-12 of 472 – 479 kHz at 1W EIRP

Max bandwidth is per the provisions of the Austrian Amateur Licence (AFV).

HB40POLICE - Switzerland Special Event

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the International Police Association Radio Club (IPARC) of Switzerland, look for special event station HB40POLICE to be active between 1st January and 31st December 2021.

Activity will be on 160-6 meters, and frequently on VHF, UHF and SHF.

A QSO with HB40POLICE counts as a club callsign for the IPARC Switzerland and is valid for the Matterhorn Award.


Ham-Com Event to Close

After 41 years, Ham-Com has decided to close its doors due to the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the rising costs of putting on a show.

Ham-Com has been held each June at the Plano Event Center in Plano, Texas.
