UVSQ-SAT Launch - 24th January 2021

The launch of UVSQ-SAT, which carries an FM transponder for amateur radio use is now planned for 24th January 2020 at 15:00 UTC.

The project team is offering a gift to the first 5 people who receive the satellite’s signal and the first 5 people who receive and decode the signal and submit it to the AMSAT-F server and/or SatNOGS.

KA6LMS – Special Radio Event

The Last Man Standing Amateur Radio Club is joining with a team of seasoned special-event operators around the United States to present a multi-band, multi-mode special event celebrating the prime-time network TV show for its positive and accurate portrayal of amateur radio.

During its nine seasons, the Last Man Standing ARC operated as KA6LMS from real radios on the set during production breaks, making thousands of contacts with the show’s amateur radio fans.

The special-event team includes the Long Island, N.Y.-based Great South Bay Amateur Radio Club, the 12 Days of Christmas and the K2Heroes teams.

The 13-14th March 2021 QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo is in full planning mode with many exciting new things underway for the upcoming event. In addition to the world-class line-up of 60+ speakers and workshops, the Expo team is proud to announce an entire speaker track dedicated to the amazing world of AMSAT - the worldwide group of amateur radio operators who share an active interest in building, launching and then communicating with each other through non-commercial amateur radio satellites. To date, over 70 amateur radio satellites have been launched. At the Expo, there will be 9 sessions by AMSAT experts who will discuss everything you need to know about taking advantage of this satellite network.
