/ICQ Amateur/Ham Radio Podcast's Chris Howard (M0TCH), Martin Rothwell (M0SGL) and Colin Butler (M6BOY) attended the official opening of the BBC station located at Broadcasting House - G8BBC.
Lord Tony Hall opening G8BBC
The station, located in a room known affectionately as Askey's Flat on the eight floor, was officially opened by BBC Director General Lord Tony Hall who with the assistance of Jonathan Kempster M5AEO who is a BBC Studio Manager made a contact to HMS Belfast (GB2RN) moored on the River Thames.
The BBC Radio Group bestowed an honoury membership to Lord Tony Hall, making him the 36th member of the group
