Need a new hobby? Try amateur radio!
/The Northeast Missouri Amateur Radio Club will be holding classes for people who are interested in learning about amateur radio at the end of March.
Dave Krueger AB0DK of the Northeast Missouri Amateur Radio Club explained how amateur radio can be useful in emergency situations.
“There’s a thrust towards emergency communications . And this is probably what I’m going to present at the class, more or less, on the emergency side. So, access to a program called Winlink would give you access to email over the radio in case the internet was down or the internet channels were clogged.”
