RSGB Adds Another Decade of RadCom to the App

If you've got a spare half hour and a soft spot for retro radio gear, the RSGB just gave you a very good excuse to lose yourself in the archives.

The RSGB has released another batch of RadCom back issues to its app, available on both web and mobile. That brings the total available to members up to over 425 editions — more than enough to get properly lost in for an afternoon.

What's in the New Batch

The first edition from the 1990s to land in this release features a review of the Icom IC-2SET, a Technical Topics column from the legendary Pat Hawker, G3VA, and a dual bipolar PSU project — a solid snapshot of where the hobby's gear and projects stood at the start of the decade. It would be a few more years yet before RadCom made the jump to full colour printing.

Now's as good a time as any to go back in. The app makes browsing RadCom and its sister publications genuinely easy to live with day to day — found a circuit diagram you want to revisit later? On mobile, you can also download editions for offline reading, so whether you're on a plane, a train, or just waiting at the bus stop, there's always an issue of RadCom to hand.
