Realtime Band Conditions

An experimental Web site has been set-up to provide actual realtime band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for Contesters interested in increasing their scores, along with other Radio Amateurs uses to determine band conditions for Nets and casual QSO's.

This information is NOT based on any software predictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry" which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.

AMSAT Sweden Celebrates 35 years

AMSAT-SM (Sweden) is celebrating being active for 35 years

Founded 24th April 1982 by a group of swedish hams., the first AMSAT-SM president was SM5IXE Thomas Johansson.

One AMSAT-SM's objectives is to inform Swedish hams about the fun that can be had whilst interacting with amateur satellites! Not many SM hams are active via satellite at the moment. With the help of their Swedish webpage and HF-net it is hoped that more Swedish hams should be using amateur satellites.

Today AMSAT-SM has approximately 200 members and an active news feed via web, Twitter and Youtube.
