Ofcom Consultation - licence changes from April 2015
/UK regulator Ofcom has published a 32 page proposal covering possible changes to the UK amateur / ham radio licence. If approved these changes could come into effect from April 2015
In summary, the changes proposed are:
Dropping the Regional Secondary Locators ("M" for Scotland, "W" for Wales, etc), except for Intermediate
Relaxing how we use our callsigns on-air
Access to 470kHz and 5MHZ for Full licensees without an NoV
Changes to club licence ownership
A number of wording changes, mostly for clarification
The consultation runs until the 20th of October 2014.
