Indian Government Employees to learn Amateur / Ham Radio
/As many as 80 Indian civil servants and NGO employees, including a sizeable number of women, drawn from state human resource development department, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna, Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, Patna Science College, TPS College, Indian Red Cross Society, Civil Defence and non-governmental organizations are attending the programme.
“Amateur / ham radio clubs should be established in every part of the state for disaster risk reduction ”
Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) vice-chairman Anil Kumar Sinha is encouraging the trainees to obtain licence from the government of India and to set-up amateur / ham radio clubs for serving humankind during disaster when all communication network collapses.
